Meet the Fairboard...

Our fairboard is made up of five members of community that live in Clatsop County. They are chosen by the County Commissioners through an application process. The members make a commitment to serve for three years. They have the option to serve an additional term but cannot serve more then two consecutive terms. Meet the current members –

Mike Scholerman

Mike Scholerman is the beginning his second term as Fairboard chair. He has lived in Clatsop County for 25 years and owns a business here. He is involved in the 4H leadership group and enjoys being a part of the County Fair. His goal for the Fairgrounds is for it to become an economic factor in the county by bringing great events for the local community and people outside the area.

Don Stultz

Don Stutlz is in his second term as a member of the Fairboard. He is a member of the “Friends of the Fair” a local group the organizes horse shows and other horse events and funnels profits from those events back into the Fairgrounds facilities. He has lived in Clatsop County for 52 years. His favorite events are the horse shows.

Larry Morse

Larry Morse is serving his first term on the Fairboard. He has lived in Clatsop County for 22 years. He joined the Fairboard because he likes to be involved in community evnts and he wants to help the Fairgrounds grow and prosper.

Jack Edwards

Jack Edwards has lived in Clatsop County all his life. He is serving his first term as a member of the fairboard. He is involved with 4H and wants to help the fairgrounds grow and become a financially sound facility. His favorite event is the County Fair.

Jack Ficken

Jack Ficken is another lifelong Clatsop County resident. He is serving his first term as a member of the fairboard. He is very involved in local youth activities and 4H. He has two young sons and his goal for the fairgrounds is to help fairgrounds become financially sound so it continues to exist for his sons and as Clatsop County continues to grow for many years.
